Hi Minaz, thank you for this weeks post and the explanation re the colours and the rugs. For me, I didn’t worry about stopping the aging process but I do hide my many scars, my husband says why worry about them, but for me they only reaffirm the pain I went through to get them.

I understand Sally. Some scars are painful even when we think back about them. They are just a part of who we are. Best to move on, tough as it may be.

Thank you for sharing this, Minaz. This is something I’ve been actively working on—especially around accepting imperfection in my creative process and sharing work before my ego decides it’s “perfect enough.” I hadn’t heard of the nazar butti or the Persian flaw before, and I really appreciate you highlighting these traditions. There’s something deeply reassuring about the idea of "perfection" being found within imperfection. :)

Thanks Chris. I am glad this resonated with you. I totally understand the creator's dilemma about the imperfections in his/her own work. Slowly am trying to accept the beauty of sharing and reading imperfect work.

The legendary architect Sinan would often create deliberate imperfections in his monuments, saying that perfection belongs only to God. Very insightful post!

Nice essay on mundane subject Imperfections in nature, art and life. A loving mother will never forget to apply a spec of black mark 'kajal' on child's cheek. This is a imperfection to put away evil.

A lovely read.. Imperfections bring out the real beauty, sometimes needed too, to have the just right hint, tilt, shine, angle! Handcraft fat more precious and beautiful than machine craft!
